It pains me to hear this news. I admired Senator Booker’s work on criminal justice reform and standing up to Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III’s appointment as Attorney General on the Senate floor. He’s a young dynamic politician and a terrific speaker with a ton of potential for higher office. I had high hopes for him. Between siding with Big Pharma earlier this year and now being Kushner’s chief defender on the Democratic aisle, it’s going to be tough to warm back up to him. The progressives won’t forget this latest stunt.
What did we learn from this? That money always talks and the bullshit is always walking up down and the stairs of Capitol Hill.
